Presented at The Tank in 2024, Neurochoreography: On Socioemotional Oscillations explored how performance can shape social perception. Inspired by research on age, facial symmetry, and perceived trustworthiness, I created an improvisational score in which dancers interpreted social categories through movement, each working in a distinct order. The score created a shared structure while preserving dancers’ interpretive agency. Research questions and procedures became compositional material for performance.
